The Chamber of Commerce: How It Began and Evolved in Lewiston and Auburn (APL)

Free

with Phil Nadeau

Calendar May 21, 2024 at 1 pm, runs for 1 week

IN PERSON at APL

It may be the first time that the comprehensive history of both Lewiston and Auburn’s Chamber of Commerce history has been presented publicly and some of  his findings may surprise people who have been connected to the Chamber for decades.

You can attend in person, same time, at Auburn Public Library without registering.

Phil Nadeau has had many careers before settling into the public administration profession. Most notably, Nadeau served as the city’s primary contact for immigrant and refugee policy, programming, and services. During his tenure, he was interviewed by many major national and international print, radio, television news organizations, and journalists including the Associated Press; Chicago Tribune; Boston Globe; New York Times; Washington Post, ABC News, Al-Jazeera, The Chinese Global Television Network, CBC Radio Canada, German Public Radio, and many more. Phil’s history research has been published and he is currently producing a free YouTube history program called “Deconstructing Lewiston-Auburn and Maine History” that now has 4 episodes covering the local and state impacts of Raytheon’s 1959 arrival in Lewiston.
