IN-PERSON
History is difficult. There is no set set of facts. There are many ways of looking at our history, and we'll look at two of them. The 1619 Project was developed by the New York Times Magazine and later released as a book. The aim was to show how slavery has affected America and the contributions of Black Americans. The 1776 Commission was an attempt to turn back from the radical history of Howard Zinn and others. Criticized for whitewashing our Nation's history.
Alan has taught many classes on many subjects over his 18 years at Senior College.
